This website instructs beginners on how to pose when modeling. They give a lot of tips and tricks to look very comfortable and relaxed when modeling. The author of the article also gave links to videos regarding modeling.
What did you learn new?


I learned how to pose. I didn’t know that three seconds in the same pose is the maximum time to hold it. I also learned that one has to remember to relax their hands, and avoid the deer in the headlights look.

I like the photo because the models look very relaxed and comfortable while still looking confident and with great posture. They are perfect examples of good models.

Background. The background was strategically chosen to balance out the picture. The models are very skinny and vertical, and the horizontal lines in the background help them not look like sticks.

A model was posing and being very diverse in her modeling. The video showed us her shoot with a magazine and helped us see what a professional model does.

I got to see what a professional model poses like. It helped me get a better understanding on the art of modeling and I got to see how they behave in a studio environment.

The website gave tips on how to create great portraits. It includes lots of great suggestions that will aid with model to photographer communication and how to make the model feel comfortable.
What did you learn new?
That bringing the model out of the comfort zone can help getting beautiful images. I also learned that making your model comfortable with you will really change the mood of the shoot.

I browsed through pictures of spiral staircases in abandoned buildings. Christian Richter is a architecture photographer in Germany that created a photo series titled “Abandoned staircases”.
What did you learn new?
That bringing the model out of the comfort zone can help getting beautiful images. I also learned that making your model comfortable with you will really change the mood of the shoot.

The website gave me an opportunity to browse through portraits of Barbie dolls. The photographer took pictures of the dolls in UV light so that they would look more real. Also, she styled the barbies hair and applied skin products to them.
What did you learn new?
NA- just browsed.

I watched a video of people spinning steel wool and it was reversed and it was sooooo cool.
