How well did they reproduce the painting? Look at colors, posing, lighting, props, spatial distance.
The painting was reproduced beautifully. The colors are spot on, the pose is similar, the props are creatively used to mimic the original wardrobe and the spatial distance is near perfect. Overall, his painting recreation is the best one i've seen.
Do you think the photographer did an acceptable job on recreating the image? What leads you to this analysis?
I think the photographer did an exceptional job recreating the painting. The factors that lead me to conclude that opinion are: the picture looks carefully planned, everything from the wardrobe to the lighting are evidence of effort, and you actually took the time to come into Reeves' and set up the studio.
I think the photographer did the best job that they could considering the resources they had. I do not think it needs to be re shot.
